Let us take you out for an ice fishing adventure on one of the beautiful lakes in the Whitehorse area. The Yukon is the Land of Plenty when it comes to rivers and lakes. The choices are endless and the fishing is excellent.

 

Depending on conditions, our guide will pick the ideal lake for your ice fishing experience. We will pick you up at your hotel and after a quick stop at our store for fishing licences, we depart for our tour. After a short drive, we leave our vehicle parked by the lake shore and walk the short distance to our first spot. With the help of an ice-auger, we will drill a hole in the ice. The ice on a lake can be from 30 cm to 1 m thick! Using an ice fishing rod and bait, you can catch Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Arctic Char, and Northern Pike. For everybody’s comfort, we will get a fire going and pass hot drinks around. Take a look around and enjoy the beauty of a winter's day while waiting for the big catch!

If luck is on our side, (and if you wish) we will of course cook the catch right on site! You will be delighted to find out how tasty Yukon fish are!

On a half day tour, we will bring snacks and hot drinks. A full day tour includes a hearty Northern Lunch and we can explore different areas for ice fishing.
