Marie Schneider
Marie joined Up North Adventures in May, 2007. She quickly integrated with the team and now works as the Office Manager. Originally from Germany, she is fluent in English and German and can even speak some French and Spanish! Her strong customer service, management skills and training make her the perfect choice for managing the company's daily operations. She spends her days off exploring her new Yukon home by kayak, canoe, mountain bike, snowshoe and snowboard.
Tyler Coghill
Tyler Coghill is one of the newest recruits to the Up North Adventures team. Tyler’s passion for the outdoors was originally sparked exploring the mountains, lakes and rivers of the north while growing up in Inuvik, NWT and Whitehorse, Yukon. He took this spirit of adventure overseas where he backpacked around Thailand and Australia, worked as a fruit picker and carnie to keep the dream alive, and discovered sea kayaking, scuba-diving, rock climbing. Looking to further his outdoor education, Tyler enrolled in the College of the Rockies in Golden, BC, where he received a diploma in Adventure Tourism Business Operations, as well as certifications such as Outdoor Emergency Care first aid, Swift Water Rescue, Avalanche Technician Level 1, and ACSKG Assistant Sea Kayak Guide. After a few years of ski touring, ice climbing, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, biking in the BC backcountry, Tyler is back at home in the spectacular Yukon wilderness. Aside from pursuing his own adventures under the midnight sun, Tyler is also a mountain bike and river guide for Up North, sharing with clients his passion for paddling or biking through the endless mesmerizing landscapes of the Yukon. Tyler can also be found every Monday night splashing around in Chadburn Lake, having a laugh while teaching sea kayak classes.
Brendan Zrum
Just like our fearless leader Mark, Brendan was born and raised in the Yukon. He is a member of the Canadian Ski Patrol System as well as the Yukon Canoe and Kayak’s youth group, The River Raiders, and until recently he was a competitive swimmer. Whether it is biking, downhill skiing, white-water kayaking, canoeing, fishing, camping, or various other activities, Brendan is at home in the outdoors. To even things off, Brendan is also a bit of an academic. Currently he is attending the University of Victoria in the winter as a student in Mechanical Engineering.
